I Shot My First Deer With A Bow! A Small Buck...

    I couldn't believe it. He came into 15 yards, quartering towards me. I made a perfect shot. It took me 5 years of bowhunting to finally get a deer with a bow. He's just a 5 point, but I'm super happy and proud of him.

    Here is a trail camera picture of him earlier in the year. I got more trail cam pics of him than any other deer, but this was the first time I saw him all season.

    This makes me feel very optimistic and uplifted. I'll be going bowhunting for my first elk next year when my brother-in-law comes back from Afghanistan. Thanks for sharing!

    Congratulations! I remember my first bow kill. I was about your age. I use my bows about 90% of the time nowadays. Your hooked!!

    Congrats, I think I jump out of My tree stand when I shot my first deer with a bow,just to get a look at him............It took me about 5 years to.......

    Thanks everyone. I am going to have him mounted. After 5 years of trying, he deserves to be mounted. Thanks again for all your replies, I'm hooked now, and have to get back at it!
