Is there any reason that competing with a doe would not be a good idea? Just curious, I've only competed once in the Texas show and would like to again this coming year. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Nothing wrong with competing with a Doe, see it all the time.

As long as she is done right, there is nothing wrong with it.

Less to go wrong on a doe,, no burr shrinkage or antler set issues. And no seam.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. ;D

I've competed with Does in the past at state shows and the World level and if one of the two I am about to mount turn out nice, well you can bet it will make an appearance some where. ;)

timwilly I lost my agenda !!!

A couple of years ago at the PA show at Seven Springs there were two or three doe in the masters category, and also
    several others in the showroom.

I remember one in particular, a pedestal, snow sprinkled over doe..simple, well placed habitat. I remember my wife commenting on how she thought it was one of the nicest mounts at the show.

I've got her caped out for a half lifesize and in the freezer, looking forward to it.

Thanks to everyone for the comments.
