My freind froze a hide before he salted it. How do you properly unthaw it, do you need a rehydration solution? Be easy Im new.
  2. let's see, take it out of the freezer. Don't thaw in water.

I just didnt want to take it out until i was sure what the proper steps are. I just always salt right away and he didnt.

Don't you mean "thaw"? Unthaw is not a word.

I would think to "UNthaw" you would just stick it IN the freezer!!! ;D ;D, to THAW I like to let them do that in a cool place or a refrigerator.
  6. The cape will be fine if you thaw it out and salt it.
