This wolf was shot in the south of Russia (North Caucasus):

I found out about it - the skin is already gone.

The head and legs like an ordinary wolf, the body is very short.

If it isn't photo-shopped that would explain how he was killed, he couldn't run. He would be tripping himself with every step, knocking his knees together and stepping on his own feet.

Strangely enough, I doubt that it was photoshopped. (You can never be 100% sure, of course.)
The reason is that the tail is so short. I am guessing that it might have had some sort of spinal deformity that caused all of its vertebrae to stay small.

If it's real, I think the skeleton would be a thousand times more interesting than the skin.

  9. I think it may be a Wolf/Pomeranian cross. Not sure tho !!!

  10. Then again,,,,,,,,, I can see a chainsaw bar in the second pic.. That may hold the answer?

Actually, while trying to avoid a hunter, this wolf ran head first into a large tree, just put one person at head and one at tail and pull, presto, you got your full sized wolf back.

He bought bird catching supplies from ACME Company.

  16. A friend sent me this picture a while back.

Some sort of Birth defect effecting the spinal growth.

One this is for sure, seeing that run at me would scare the CRAP out of me.

I'd be laughing so hard I wouldn't be able to shoot! Or crapping my pants wondering what planet I was on.

Is it the same defect that affects humans?
I went to school with a boy, he was a year or maybe two older then me. He had no neck, abnormally short body, but his arms and legs would have looked normal on someone else. He passed away right out of high school. He was very smart and polite to boot.

  20. that thing freaks me right the hell out, I woulda shot it too outta fear for my life haha
