krotann and rugs

  1. some one may have asked all ready, but will krotann work with rug making , when dry is it rock hard or is it soft
    thinking of using it , thanks

    oldterryr Terry's in Heaven with no worries at all.

    on animals up to coyote/bobcat size it will work fine - for things with thicker skin than that you are better off using lutanf or sending it out to a tannery (did you hear that oldshaver i actually said to send something to a tannery)
     

  3. I've used it to do some whole deer hides and they turned out good. As with any type of tan you need to use plenty of oil and be prepared to do a lot of breaking. If you don't like to use that much elbow grease I'd recommend a commercial tannery.
