Hello, I'm new to this forum, and a beginner to taxidermy. I do have some background in vertebrate museum techniques from college, a basic class to preparing animal hides and parts for museum specimens and storage -so I do have a basic understanding to thing, most on smaller mammals and birds. I'm taking on my first deer head to see if I like it, and am looking for some help and opinions of others to help me along. Just today I really got into fleshing the torso of the deer cape and some of the neck. I'm working with a lot of improvised tools, so please be considerate. I wanted to know how this hides "cleanliness" is looking: do I need to take more stuff off, or what? Thank you!
