    Nice idea with the "white out " Rich, (nice blanks as well) ! I have just started a 20" b trout blank of yours I have had for ages ,

    Randy, that wood fish is great, would make a neat sign. Or is that what it is ?

    Great fish this month! Kudos to all!! I spent a day at the Field Museum in Chgo and thought I would share this pic. This redfish was done by the great Leon L. Pray probably in the 1930's. Replicas were done by him out of a paper mache composition made with casein glue, shredded masonite, paper pulp.....the fins were carved out of celluloid which was an early form of plastic, similar to what movie film was made of. His fish work still inspires me.

    Thanks for sharing Doug. That's pretty cool to see work that good from the thirties considering the lack of technology back then. That just shows if your determined to do good work, nothing will hold you back.

    leon prays fish were outstanding...his books got me started, way back in the 50's

    AA your wiper is off the hook i have one of my own to do that is 12 lbs did you spray a grey first then use LS to paint each scale i have some fish done but dont want to post because the are crap compaired to whats on here lol
