This may seem like a stupid question but I'm doing my 1st turkey & will be going very slow so as not to screw up too much. Is it possible to refreeze a turkey sking after fleshing & degreasing? If so, at what point would I no longer be able to put the skin back into the freezer & would have to commit to mounting.

    Thanks

You can refreeze it. It won't hurt it. I've refrozen some skins several times when I got interupted. I wouldn't keep doing thawing and freezing too much. Bacteria will get you eventually.

Thanks for the answer. I was afraid that once I have the skin degreased, or even tumbled, it would not be advisable to freeze the skin again if I didn't have the time to complete the mounting. I appreciate the input.
