That must just be the biggest one entered. Perhaps the biggest one in that book, but I know of bigger eights. Heath Cline can tell you about a few more. Great buck!

  5. Re: New world record 8 pointer

Bill I agree with you . The article I read says there are 2 8 point bucks tied for the world record @ 181 3/8 , This one is supposed to score 183 1/8

That is a brute! I thought there was one from northern Oh that grossed in the mid 190's and netted in the mid 180's. I mounted one that scored 193" a few years back and it wasn't the biggest 8 taken here. It had 17" G-2's.

Its real alright, taken down the road a mile from were I hunt. Taken in central illinois second shotgun season. There is another on trail cam that is about the same carefully roaming his area at night only.

I have a customer that has never put a tape to a deer, but I have measured some of his. He has an 8 slightly bigger than that. Five years in a row he has brought a jaw dropper in.

I almost cant sleep at night, got told I have the run of the place for archery season this year.

No high fence here. That crap is running loose

The Ohio buck net scored 183. The hunter had a post on here awhile back looking for a replicator. The poached 8 point from Minnesota is supposed to be the biggest at 185 net. Our DNR says they entered it in B&C so that should make it "official".

It will drop out when it dries, the current record holders were in the 184 and change when shot before drying out to the 181 record size now.

17 to 18" tines are nuts. I would fall out of the tree
