I read through most of the many pages concerning building a tumbler.

I have everything mapped out and ready to go, but am not sure about the baffle(s).

When using a 55 gal drum for a tumbler,

how many baffles is considered ideal?

how far should they stick out inside the drum? I'm thinking about 6 inches

I'm also assuming the baffle should run the length of the drum-is this right?

    Thank you for your insight

  2. You can use pvc pipe for baffles. Cut a two or three inch pipe in half and mount it to the sides lengthwise. round side out. creates movement without damage
three or four baffles are good
