Been a bunch of talk (arguing) about what is and is not in a deers eye here lately so I went out and took these. "Liquid lens"??......I report...you decide! ;D

    That eye anatomy looks hideous.
I like the worms in the iris though.

I can't tell much from those pics. Could you do me a favor and take about 20 more and email them to me? I'll let you know what I think then.

  7. I'm with Cole, I think I need a few more to deside.
    Jim

  8. Just as well send me few of those pics too, that way we can get a good survey population. The judge might dock a few points on it so I'm guessing a high 80's score on that one. :)

  9. Where are those little nodules along the eyelid everyone marks off for not putting them on the mounts.
The nicaitating membrane is to small for a comp. deer.
lacrimal caruncle needs more definition. as do the lacrimal Puntua.

Oh and the color is to pale. right.

So how did you get the deer to stand still long enough to take the pics?

Sometimes, your better off not doing them for comp. rather than do them incorrectly. They are tiny!
Even if you could get a live deer to stand still long enough for a critique, it'd probably only score a mid 80's in the pro division:)

That's only true if you are judging. LOL

    That's funny right there, Cole!

Ron, Awesome pic!. Guaranteed a live deer, haven't seen it in competition, and probably never will. Beautiful!

Sure is some fancy words for all those "thingybobs" in a deers eye!!!!

As for getting deer to stand still.............those pictures represent about 500 that didn't make the cut plus I took an antler to the belly but I finally got my ^&*^%$% pictures. I'm going to kill that one with the dark eye.......he is a spaz!!!!

George The older I get, the better I was.

Actually Ron, the iris seems to be leaking into the sclera
