How can I fix the dorsal fin on this walleye, without out replacing at with a reproduction fin?
Any help would be great, thank you in advance.

Apply tuffin to the backside of the area to be repaired. You can either precut the silkspan to have the curves at the top before or after you apply it to the backside of the fin in the repair area. Place a piece of silkspan on the backside onto the wet tuffin and make sure to go beyond the edges of the repair area and overlap onto undamaged fin. Now apply tuffin again to the front side of the silkspan. Apply a few coats to the front side to build up the thickness, especially at the bottom where the fin spines are thicker. You will not be able to tell it's been repaired once painted. I've fixed many walleyes this way...landing nets are hard on the dorsals. Hope this helps.

  3. thank you for the help, I'll give it a try.
