The "magic" in Henry's hands has yet to be equalled by very few if any.

The kind of work in that photo is the thing that inspired me to dedicate my life to the art of taxidermy. Henry's use of color and composition in that piece is fantastic and the over all feeling is so true to nature. A true Master and a true masterpiece!

I absolutely love ... LOVE ... the faces of the kittens! The look of intense innocent interest is absolutely spot-on! But that's Henry ... it is what he does. He studies his subjects until he knows them intimately, and never settles for 'good enough'. Anyone who doubts what I say ... I have photos of Henry studying my pet Squirrels with his flashlight. THAT is what a Master Taxidermist does ... it is what their work is all about.

It is even more awesome in person! I can only hope to still be able to do any taxidermy if and when I get that old.

Congratulations on a great Breakthrough Cover :)

John, the kittens make that piece. The one on the left is so intently looking at that beetle while the one on the right is distracted. The cross-eyed expression of that kitten is ABSOLUTELY LIFELIKE. Just a fantastic piece and one of the best selections Larry and Kathy have ever made.
