  1. Here's some pigs I have done recently. All of these were caught by holders and had badly ripped ears. Got another one in the other day and yes it was caught by holders, five in a row is getting annoying!
Im hoping to mount a boar I shot myself soon for our competition in September so any pointers or advice is welcome.

  2. Very nice pigs.

  3. Major

Major New Mexico.....Not much different than the old one

I don't think you need pointers. You should be giving them instead!!! Beautiful work.

Nice work. I would really love to work on one of those bad boys....
  5. Looks great in my opinion. I don't know how they would do at a competition, but I would be a happy customer.

  10. Thanks very much guys. Nice to have a bit of encouragement :)

They are forms made here in New Zealand by Gary Pullar of Mosgiel Taxidermy.

They are the real jaws, apoxie sculpt.

    Those are ALL great mounts!
Down to the tiny bristles on the nose pad! Soft looking and the coloration has great depth.
    I'm now officially a fan...great work!

They look very well done and detailed. The wrinkles above the upper teeth are very deep to me. Maybe it's because the rest of the expression looks relaxed and I've never seen that deep of wrinkles on a hog even when it was attacking. Customers love wrinkles though. Good job.
  20. Yea I have definitly been over exaggerating that muscles to much over the grinder but I won't be doing that on a comp piece.
    Thanks mate.
