Guys, this was a very fun job. I had alot of trouble getting it tanned but the rest was fun. Also being alone didnt help either,
TONS of work but I wouldnt hesitate to take the next one.
I studied and learned alot about Giraffe. They are full of wrinkles :D

thanks folks for your nice words... I was explaining to another friend just now that they are no different than a regular shoulder mount,, except
    8-9 stitches/inch vs 2-3 on a Winter Deer,,
lots of loose skin that needs to be turned into wrinkles
    extra large eyes,
and alot of muscle force in packing the loose skin around the chest and shoulder...
and alot of reference pics are needed.

This was on Tom Weikum form and it worked fairly good. Just had to resize the head.
    cheers

Very nice. U did a great job.
I helped mounted 1 at my last job . Lots of altering of the form. & hours. Took use about 4 days to mount. It was about 12+ ft tall. Put it this way lots of work. But it was fun.

George The older I get, the better I was.

Falco, that's one helluva job on a "turd" that Michael spoke of. If I never see another giraffe, I'll die happy. Absolutely stunning job.
