This is a short stop-motion video made by Max Winston. It won some kind of award at the Sundance film festival, but I can't remember what. Oh, and did I mention that real taxidermy specimens were used? They're ugly, but they're supposed to be ugly.

And I didn't really know what category to put this in. I thought this would be the best fit.

  2. I forgot to mention that it's kind of graphic. Just fyi.

Hmmm. Well, that was certainly an enlightening journey into the mind of a young film maker (personal assumption). ??? I can say I am no smarter for investing 3 minutes watching it though....

  4. I believe it's from a genre of animation called "Experimental animation," which usually has no plot and exists solely to produce unique and new types of animation. It's more about art, not so much storytelling. But to each other their own :)

I was an art major in college (years ago) and I remember the teacher making fun of anyone who would draw/paint anything identifiable or that had a clear message. If you could tell what it was, it wasn't "art". You should have seen some of the stuff she painted!! "To each their own" is right. I left college and went to work...
