Method for shaping bondo ears

Discussion in 'Tutorials' started by kendall1987, Jun 18, 2012.

  1. Ive always had heck doing bondo ears but here is a method to get them shaped right
First get you a set of small, medium, and large earliners.
Cut the inner ear part out so it will slide into the deers inner ear(About two inches.)

[IMG]Do your nomal turning to edge, drying and ruffing up of your ear!
Fill it with bondo then slide the size linner that will fit into the ear
Use the liner as your guide and shape accordingly, making sure the edges are nice and thin and white hair is on inside of ear!
I will normally slip the liner in for a bit then take it out to make sure all hair patters are still lining up.
Just move the bondo around to the shape of your liner!
Hope this helps someone and makes sence!
    here is the finished ear

yep. that's how i do it. my ear liners are screwed down to a board. i lay the head in between the liners. lay the ears on them. then work the shape.

you put only the bondo in the ear. spread it around to all corners of the ear. then put the ear over the liner. hair side. then shape it to the liner. like in the picture. the liner is on the out side of the ear. bondo is on the in side.
