Slob deer finished

Discussion in 'Deer and Gameheads' started by dsbragg, Jul 4, 2012.

  1. Big FL ranch deer ready for delivery. Hardly shaved this hide it was so thin. Passed in Aug and was actually 2 , thought he was 3. Hair was shorter than normal...which is short anyway.

I know you made the guys down there at Robert's happy when you made that delivery Dennis. I am amazed by just how thin that hide was, freaking unbelievable. That deer passed during the summer, right? I can remember when they brought it to you, but I remember the pictures you sent me when they had you come to pick it up. Anyways, nice job as always my friend.
  19. Thanks guys!

Laststop, they are right at 9" on the left and 9 1/2" on the right. Thick for sure!

Eric, it was in August, mid summer for us for sure. He was a mess in those pic's I sent you, he had torn his velvet up bad and was very bloody. They wanted it stripped and colored. Tried to talk them into having the velvet restored, would fit better with the early season look to this deer. Seems strange to see that early coat with hard antlers.
