As far as we know this was the largest harvest of 2011. 261" gross 247" net making it #4 all time with bow in IL. The shoulder mount I just finished up and should be at the Expo in TN this next weekend. The lifesize I can't take much credit for since all I did was sew! The lifesize was much more fun, as it was a group effort with my friends Brice Wangler and Randy McElroy. Randy gets the credit on the lifesize for the detail work, and Brice sculpted a fantastic set of testicles!! lol

The shoulder mount is a replica. The deer is currently in North American Whitetail and had 7.5" and 8.5" bases with nearly 52" in circumference measurements.

  15. Nice!
Brice, I didn't know you were a sculptor! Did you do a carcass cast? Carve from foam? Inquiring minds want to know!

As of now the repros haven't been offered for sale and not sure if he will. Can find out though if serious interest is there.

Eddieb- it's a good thing you don't have to sculpt nards on blue geese otherwise Brice would be unbeatable. Just sayin.

Besides sewing legs and taxiing skin, I wanted to make sure I had some sort of claim to fame on this buck. But I don't think any of the magazine articles will feature good photos of my work.

    Bummer.

Oh man.....I forgot how nice those were. To bad you can't see the subtle details that really sell them!!! I still can't believe that didn't make any of the mags.

Since I don't drink.....remind me why we took that picture.
