I pressure tan all my capes in a auto tanner. I just bought 5 capes that were turned and salt dried whats the best way to rehydrate them to tan
    them in my tanner.
    Thanks for any help.

  2. 1/4 - 1/2 lb of salt to each gallon of water used to cover the hide. Soak until rehydrated. I add a touch of degreaser to my soaks to mainly help clean the hide of blood, dirt and such as well as a little acid to drop the pH to around 5, not necessary, just the way I do it.
