Is this a piebald buck? picture heavy

    Care to explain what would cause such "white spots" specially on the last few pics of the right hip?
     
  4. No that is the summer coat coming in. If this was a colored picture, it would just show it lighter those few area; not white.

    Pic has a summer date Aug 8, should have had its summer cote for a couple of months ???
     
  6. They lose the red summer hair and it gives the deer a splotchy look.

    Ok, I really figured thats what is was, until I got the the last few pics. I have seen this on other deer, but never so apparent and defined. I do hope you're wrong...but I don't expect it.:)

    The last two pics sure does make it look like a piebald. But the first ones do look like he is losing his summer coat
