I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend and Labor day. We spent ours hunting deer in extreme heat. Drake wanted to kill a deer with his bow so we went and saw very few deer with only one missed opportunity at a doe. Maybe next time. I would like to thank everyone that posted last month and encourage all of you to post again this month. Last month was very slow for this thread and I know there is some great talent out there. If you have any pictures of turkeys please don't be afraid to post. This thread is for learning and if any of you have a tip or idea that you think might help someone please post it. I will start it off this month with a half strut eastern and hopefully several of you guys will follow. Hopefully all of you are getting some work done and having everything picked up by your customers. We have finished most of our turkeys and are trying to get caught up on other items before thing s start coming in again.

Good luck to any of you deer hunting.

If you have any questions let me know and I will try to answer them.

    Thanks Brett D

Good job on the turks so far. Very clean mount Troy. I like how you have the tail angled.

I have a lot of birds in process right now. I will have more finished pics in Oct.

Brett thanks for doing this thread! I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge and helping people out. I've been doing bird taxidermy off and on for several years with my passion always being turkeys and now getting more serious and trying to generate a second income from it. I have bought several heads and bodys from you and appreciate the good quality and great service at a fair price you guy's are providing. I've seen this forum advertised for years but unfortunantlly never looked at it till recently. So I will try to join in on this turkey thread.

Great job Johnson...but loose the bottle cap. I hate seeing litter in the woods..so why incorporate an eyesore into the habitat ?

Thanks, glass eye. The bottle cap is there because I was lucky enough to kill this bird on property owned by one of the Bush family members, so the beer cap is just alittle reminder of where it came from not to just be litter.
