    Yes, this is typical behaviour for the bearded tit, which only lives in reeds and can climb up and down the reed stems like a monkey. Fun birds, I just worked with one yesterday, they are not uncommon in captivity nowadays. I agree bearded tit is not a well chosen name, moustached tit would be better ;D
