I cannot seem to find the list of CWD
states that was posted b4. The states
in question are Wyoming and Montana.
does anyone know if either are
    considered CWD states? Thanks

Both are. Its listed in the hunting book too.

  3. It may not be the whole state though. I am going elk hunting in CO this week and only certain counties are listed. The area where I am going is not listed. I just googled "CWD counties in CO" and got a map. So if I wanted to bring the whole elk or skull back to MN I would be OK with our MN laws.

    Try this link.

Ok thanks a bunch , Great info right there !

  6. Bucknut, what about all the states you will travel through on your way home?

  7. I guess I would have to check that out further. But if my elk came from a CWD free area I don't see a problem. In MN, our laws state that if you are just traveling through with a whole animal you are OK. I just got back and my elk was de-boned at the processor and I cleaned my skull plate.
