I mounted a drake wood duck many years ago when I first got into taxidermy and this was the first bird I did. To say the least, I would like to re-mount the bird if possible. I know I have seen older posts regarding this, but wanted to find out what everyone's thoughts are and how I should start? Thank you....

    Get another bird...

1: it WILL trun out much better.
2: save yourself the hassle of dealing with rehydrating the delicate skin.

I do have another I need to mount. I guess I can keep it and look back to where I started.. :D

  4. I agree also!! It's a good thing to show off! Here is where I started and here is where I am now! If anything build a new habitat to incorporate both birds! Good luck!!
