I'm in the process of molding the major bones from a Vervet skeleton that was loaned to me just for this and other projects. So far, the pelvis has been molded, next the rear leg and feet, and the arm and hand bones. Once the skeleton is cast and assembled, I'll be sculpting the clay model for the mannikin. I just do not like what's available, so I'm making my own. So far, so good, but keep those fingers crossed! ;) Can't wait to get him mounted ... along with his 'monkey-balls'! LOL! ;D The position I've chosen will allow them to be seen.

I like the treatment on the rear of the Fallow Deer. Very nice.

Thanks John, when he was brought to me, he was just cut 2/3 (just behind the last rib) so there was plenty of cape there and it was way too nice of a pattern to just let it go to waste. Once I told the customer what I had in mind, he was wrapped! Unfortunately there wasn't a wall pedestal form locally that I could get my hands on close to his size so I ordered his size in a shoulder form and started hacking away. It was a great turnout in the end as I didn't really want that traditional wall pedestal look anyway. Had to also turn the head alot more as the customer wanted his left antler more emphasized as you walk into the room.
