Discussion in 'Tanning' started by Stef, Jan 4, 2013.

  1. I want to make some machinery , tup and more , how react the 304 with the pickling acid and tanning ? somebody try it .. or just plastic is good..

  2. 304 has excellent resistance to salt corrosion , it is not the best of the best with strong acid (nitric) but is more than good enough for any acid used to pickle hides .

If you go with stainless go with T316L TYPE
but id stick with plastic for soak tubs
a fleshing table is good out of stainless though
