Locating a Peacock

Discussion in 'Bird Taxidermy' started by Wildwingstaxidermy, Feb 11, 2013.

  1. The search isn't working for some reason for me tonight so I am sorry if there is already a thread about this. I see alot of peacocks on here and that looks like a real fun project for me this summer. Where do people go to get ahold of these critters?

You have to hold your mouth just right and with your right hand cupped over your mouth, using your diaphram, you have to let out a harsh squeal. Kinda more like a shrill. After aboiut ten seconds, do it again. If you get no response, try it one more time after about a minute. If you don't get a response there must not be any around. Then just google paecock and maybe there will be some on some internet sites.

  3. LOL...I have been trying that shriek all night and I haven't gotten any response

I guess you'll have to check out google then. There must not be any around your house. Good luck!

  5. LOL...yeah I have been trying the google thing but not finding much honestly. In all honesty I actually meant do you guys have a recommended place that is particularly good. Or is it just as simple as a local farm market?

  6. Search craigslist in your area, you will have to put them down but there is always some for sale on there in my area!

  7. Well, apparently northern indiana is not a place for peacocks. I have spent the last hour trying to find some around here and alas nothing. Can you mail order one from someone, or would that be outrageous difficult to accomplish?
