Drying/Cleaning large WT Antler

Discussion in 'Skulls and Skeletons' started by croberts, Feb 13, 2013.

  1. I am having trouble getting a drop tine to dry out. Doing a euro, but the drop still had velvet on it, stinks, and has moisture leaching from it. Is there something I can soak it in? I know it would dry in time, but I'd like to wrap it up. Tried searching, didn't find anything

Try some iso-alcahol it should pull most of the moisture out and dry her up. if it stinks you have another battle to wage. I would try the soak if the smell is still there a soak in h2o with baking soda should help, then back to iso to pull the water out, then fabreeze a few times and let dry in front of a fan.

  3. Thanks, I'll try this!
