How to do a successful search!!!!!!
There s a lot of information out there . But I hear all the time that I used the search box but didn't get any thing.

So......... this may help and its pretty simple.

If your going to do a SEARCH make sure you are on the INDEX PAGE OR OPENING PAGE of taxinet. If you search from say ....mammals or birds , that's the only paramiter its going to look through. If you really want to look ......google it . It has pages that take you back to the posts on the first taxinet server.

The other hint would be ... only use one or two key words.

Very good topic to shine light on for sure, Jay.

I often prefer the Advanced Search feature.

The asterisk alone (by default) in the By user: field, will return search results contributed by any and all users on taxi.net, which match the parameters you dictate. By placing a particular user(s) name in the By user: field, you can more specifically target some info you may be mining for.

By default, Check all is chosen in regards to Major forums on this website.

Clicking on the Choose a board to search in, ... link allows you to selectively choose what part(s) of the website to conduct your search. This can help to more carefully add value to the list of search results.
