I thawed a cape out and have 2hrs off prep to do for tan. I live in n ky and with it being cold at night and barely , makin 40 for high . Cape left outside in tote be fine? I usually salt them and hang them for 5 to 6 hrs then flesh and turn but I use krowtan and I think the salting is not givin me as much stretch?

I have seen on here a post where someone said that salting a hide prior to Krowtan will actually give you more stretch. Haven't tried it yet, I get plenty doing it the normal way. Anyway, I think you will be fine. I have a fridge that I keep set at between 35-38 degrees that I use to keep capes overnight if I can't get them totally done. Haven't lost any yet that way.
