pleas help with Seam or stitching stretch

    yes i believe it was due to not thinning enough along the seam. because i stitched no more then a quarter inch apart and tried keeping it as tight as i could. But i will be sure to thin along the seam more on the deer i'm getting ready to start. thanks for all your help.

    proper thinning, tanning, and locking the stitches every so often really helps. also plastic screen is better than cardboard for laying down the seam it lets more air circulate.

    something to think about.

    It's not just along the seam, ideally the whole cape should be the same thickness. Some areas like the brisket and underarm area are thin already. Areas like the neck and the mat and around the burrs are a different story. You'll see what I mean when you look at it. If it's 3/16 inch thick it will shrink a lot. 1/8th is good.
