2 large Alberta cougars

Discussion in 'Lifesize Mammals' started by sugarcreektaxidermystudio, Mar 15, 2013.

  1. Here are some pictures of two large Alberta cougars that I just finished up. One was 175lbs and the other close to 190lbs.

Reflective pupil eyes were tohicken eyes that John Bellushi did the pupils on.

It's killing me not to be going.....but this year is all about our business. Next year? The Montana show is fantastic and the people there are first class and a lot of fun to be around.

LordRusty If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

I absolutely LOVE the expression of the first Cougar from the front ... the look they acquire just after some serious exertion! Both have absolutely wonderfully rendered anatomy, well shaped feet and toes, and appear to be bearing their own weight! Imagine that! ;) Great grooming, and slightly open mouths that do not appear as though they are laughing at the viewer! WELL FREAKING DONE!!!
  17. I had the honor of standing alongside these beautiful cats. While the pictures Marco has posted are gorgeous and wonderfully done, these mounts are downright breathtaking in person. Remarkable is a great word to describe what you see while standing in front of them.
Awesome work Marco. Love the bases also.
    One day... I can dream can't I?
  18. wow that looks real
