Heart Necklace

Discussion in 'Wildlife Artwork and Crafts' started by PLTannery, Apr 9, 2013.

  1. Little Weird, but IMO beautiful in its own way... Did this one up as a custom request for a client, and I'm making a few extras for a movie convention I'll be attending in May.

Vial is 2.5 inches tall, Stainless steel rings in 22, 18 and 16 guage. Pewter Charm. Rat heart in alcohol.

    Oh, Shelby! Original idea.

And some people thought my bacula necklaces were a little strange. ;) Can you believe that a taxidermy site's spell check doesn't recognize the word BACULA? ::) Did I mispell it? Hmmmmm.

I like the stainless steel, but silver is still my favorite medium.

  3. Thanks!

I like working in silver too, but something about me tarnishes it INSANELY fast... Also I am REALLY hard on my jewelry so I prefer the strength in Stainless.

Bacula, Baculum... Yea... Who knows on that one..

  4. I like it a lot :) I see many people doing this type of jewelry but this stands out. Kids who have no knowledge of taxidermy or preservation throw things together.. you have the know-how to back up your crafts.

  5. Thanks! I really try to make sure that the things I make last.
