    Don't blow dry with heat!

  3. Give a nicotine patch before you kill it.

but why the smoke. is it poison
  5. Smoke 2 birds and call me in the morning...LOL .. Do not dry with heat! Set your blower dryer so it just blows cold air.
  6. Probably not good for you... my question would be, why the bird tan? IMHO, it is not necessary. Look through the archives and I'm sure you will find most just use borax. Bird skin is very thin and does not expand and contract like a deer would, tanning isn't really necessary.

have you rinsed the bird, perhaps residuals?
did you tumble first and finish with a blow dryer?

i use a basic pickle on some of the larger species, what type was it?
unusual but there will be an answer

Heat, smoking . . . the better question would be did or do you final rinse with GAS! Use a shop-vac switch the hose to the output side have dried Quail to Turkeys with mine . . . NO GAS NEEDED. 8)
