Just got an order of 4 forms in today and either A. McKenzies snapping the necks on manikins or B. UPS is buying stock in Gorilla glue! 2 out of 4 where broke at the neck line!! Its not an easy fix either because the break was so sharp it made a sliver and a piece is actually broke off the boken piece! Jeeez!

I was getting a few in like that on the last few orders and they told me it was UPS. Another reason I quit using them! They had to be purposely throwing the boxes around to cause that kind of damage. They don't snap off that easily.

No they don't snap that easily. Kind of sucks because its not worth opening a claim and waiting for reimbursement.

The last order I received from UPS had everything intact, but I was surprised as the box was beat to pieces. It had been so abused the box would not hold its shape at all. The driver just dropped it in my yard (it was a windy day) and the shipping receipts blew off the box and flew off down the street. The guy said, "sorry 'bout that" got in the brown truck and drove off. I wasn't real happy but at least nothing was broken. I always thought UPS was a pretty well run outfit, but it seems to be going downhill fast.

I've seen drivers actually kick oversized boxes out of the back of the truck and let them roll out on to the pavement. They didn't know I was watching.

Was the box damaged you didn't say? Ive seen form's broken and the boxes never had a mark on them, so where does the blame go? Propably broke them taking them out of the mold, next time you order tell them you don't want second's.

I once had a box show up with road burn all the way through and two inches of the forms nose ground off where it obviously slid down the hiway. At least the &**^ bothered to go back and pick it up! :-\

  12. This is why spee dee delivery is growing in the mid-west,they care.I rerceived a delivery on a very rainy vday and the driver actually covered the boxes with a tarp I had in a box out side of my garage. He did not have to cover the box but he must of saw the tarp and covered it.

UPS sucks, quit using them a few years ago now and really don't miss them!

  15. Knock on wood I have had very few things that have had only minor damage. I have a wonderful UPS driver it will be a sad day when he retires. One time my drive way was to muddy to get down so he left it at the in-laws and he personally called and left me a massage that he had left it there. He is a great guy in my opinion.

Call Mckenie and complain. I believe they will take care of replacing them or will credit you to fix them. phil

I ordered a lifesize coon form and an artificial muley skull a couple weeks ago. The coon had a leg snapped completely off and the nose portion of the skull was broken as well. I called and they credited me $30 for the inconvenience.

I have had some really good drivers, theyll call me, or leave me a cell number if they see a problem, some even try to catch up to me a 2nd time that day, later in their route, knowing I might need the boxes. To that I sure couldnt complain.

But those damaged boxes, damaged forms and ripped out boxes, well add that to the fact youll get nowhere with a ups claim, and I can say I hate dealing with them.

McKenzie, on the other hand, is always good about replacing any damaged or missing stuff. In fact, Ive found all the supply companies will work with you if youll call and report it to them. Even clean boxes with broken forms are not from the shipper, Im pretty sure they dont just send you broken stuff. But a long drop on a box can still snap a leg or neck of a form without hurting the box, just because of its weight.

I guess I never will understand these threads, make an insurance claim for a head or a leg being broken? It takes more time to post it on here than it does to repair, just repair it and get back to work. I order all lifesize without rods, by the time they get here they are broken and cut all to pieces.
