    When you refuse to accept someone else's standard, and compete anyways, you are likely going to get your heart broken. You can be a strong swimmer but will never know how strong until you jump into the pool with others! Patronizing someone with a title in a very weak division can have some bad consequences down the road. It causes a lot more controversy down the road than not giving the award at all. That being said, in the original post a weak piece got all the money. I get that. Money and metals are 2 different things. Not awarding money to the best scoring mount could get you killed.

    Yes, I for one am guilty of allowing that other post about the world title to bleed over into this thread. This thread was about a different type of show, basically a promotional show, where choosing a winner is the goal. I didnt see the mount, nor do I know the winner, but I can only assume that the promoters wanted the best mount there to be chosen, and in this kind of event, I can understand why. I probably shouldve kept my competition opnions to the other thread, and not so much here.
