Trying to become a bird brain with Kent Reedy. Wow what an eye opener. With Kent you don’t mount the bird from the outside you start at the body on the inside learning about the wing bones, Movement of the legs, length of bones, what they can do and not do. Measurements and then he drops the head on you. Learning about the bill, painting of the bill, nostrils on the bill, ears and ear placement, Then there is the eyes, measurement, color, eye lids not just a pull the skin around the glass eyes. Measurement of the neck and positioning. Basically you put the bird design and together before you even begin to flesh and put the skin on. I had a lot of questions to cover what I didn’t know (never was instructed on). Kent didn’t win the Master of Masters for nothing, his knowledge of bird’s shows why he is one of the best and if you ever think of taking a class Kent is where to start so that you know why a bird looks like he does. In other words another Kent should be your Number 1 stop first. Fantastic Class...
