I have a friend in Texas who has an 11,000 acre ranch near Dryden, which is about an hour west of Del Rio. He has a total of seven combination Whitetail/coues, Mule Deer, Aoudad and Javelina hunts for sale for $1,500 plus your Texas license which for non-residents is about $300. You will be able to harvest a Whitetail or a Coues deer, a Mule Deer and Aoudad and a Javelina plus unlimited predators and wingshooting. The hunt is for 3 days and you arrive the day before and leave the day after so you get 3 full days of hunting. He will allow hunting on Sunday morning if you need to. The dates for the first hunt are Dec. 5th-7th 2013. There are 4 openings during those dates. Dates for the second hunt are Dec. 12th - 14th with 3 openings for this hunt. This is a do-it-yourself/partially guided hunt meaning the landowner will be there to show you around. He has a camp, but doesn't provide food. Deer aren't trophy class, but you get a lot of shooting opportunities for many species for a low price. You hunt over feeders, or spot and stalk.

  3. Lmao!! Not only do we not have Coues Deer in Texas,One hour west of DelRio is called Mexico!!

I would say if he has what he's calling Coues deer, they are more then likely Carmen Mountain deer.

They may be Carmen Mountain Whitetail, the rancher is calling them Coues. If you want to go to his website it is www.boxroutfitters.com
