I am headed to Las Vegas, not to gamble....believe me I worked in a casino and taking my teen to college in Hendersen, Nevada. It is really hot here, record heat. I live in Wells, 8 hours North of Wells. I am wondering if I should take some of my taxidermy for emergency in case I have to pawn stuff off. I know some of this has a good value, but I respect my life on the road and my daughters life. The value of my or my daughters life is more than a bear or wolf or grizz rug, etc. I plan on taking those with me. I am posting this because I am wondering, since I head down there is anybody looking for anything in particular that I may see in a pawn shop. Believe me, people pawn valuable stuff away after they gamble and any suggestions. I like to help people...or is any taxidermist interesting in looking at my stuff? Well Happy 4th when it arrives:) ( I may have some sold before I leave thanks to this forum) My word is my word....

I have read this 4 or 5 times and it ain't making anymore sense now than it did the first time. I'm lost to why you say that you value your life and your daughter's life out on the road and may want to take some of your taxidermy stuff to pawn off. If your acting cuckoo now just wait till your in Vegas and the heat is over 100 deg. Anyhow good luck on your excursion and hope you make it there and back safe and sound.

Sorry that everyone misunderstood my post. What I meant to say was I thought I would do everyone a favor and check the market in those shops. I did not go to any shops and did not take my so called "Prized Trophies" with me. The weather was much to hot and those so called "Prized Trophies" would have been sweating in the heat. You cannot fix Stupid and I am not that Stupid. There is a member on here and I will not mention his name, that lowballed my prices and I am new on this board, so I took his word on the prices. If he does not get back with me by the end of today, I am taking other quotes. I fully explain every minute detail about the items, that is one thing this member helped me on. A persons word is a persons word, but the world has drastically changed. I would rather sell site seen then on this post, but as a business minded person, I do offer quotes this way and phone contact information. Happy 4th of July everyone and yes I did make it home safely. I always like a backup when I travel, besides a plastic credit card or debit card, so I originally thought of taking the hides. There were many broke down vehicles on the road and I prefer to travel with cash or something comparable. Intimidation does not work. HEY THERE YOU GO I SHOULD HAVE DONE A U-TUBE VIDEO WITH MY DAUGHTER AT THE HERTZ RENTAL CENTER IN THE AIRPORT...NO WE DO NOT TAKE CASH, SHOULD HAVE WORN THE GRIZZLY HIDE AND SAID, WELL WILL YOU TAKE MY GRIZZLY HIDE? (I knew they did not take cash, had my trip all planned) This one stupid person forgot that it was his birthday on the 4th of July and his drivers license expired the next day so he could not rent a car.....now that is STUPID.....roar...duh anybody want to want to do a funny commercial? these hides work for that anyways....one is to old to mount....

WOW....thanks...somebody has some common sense....my daughter is going into digital filming, now I wish I would have taken that old grizzly hide that is only good for a wall hanging, my husband wanted 3 grand for it,,,,,somebody would have given me 800 but changed his mind because all it is really good for is a wall hanging...hindsight is foresight.... I would have had so much fun doing a U-TUBE video on this one, anybody up for it? Meet me at an airport...maybe that ole grizzly hide is worth a good laugh and then some.....I like to make people laugh I used to bartend in a casino, I should be a psych major....

Well I am a writer in a sense, I have traveled lots, my website when I am done is about peoples stories on the road. You see I had a class in advertising. Aflac, the commercial with the duck made a mark in the commercial industry. I do not see why it did not clear anything up. This old Grizz, my husband told me to sell it for 3 grand is broken and old taxidermy from the 80"s. IT CANNOT BE MOUNTED. The claws might be worth something, that is not my trade. SO WHAT IS IT WORTH? IS it even worth 800 bucks to you even. I do not blame the guy for pulling out after offering me 800 bucks. I was honest on the problems with this. Taxidermed in the 80's. Dry on the edges...do you want this for 800 bucks or should I do a commercial...This hide means nothing to me. Maybe my husband that wants 3 grand. If you want to pay 3 grand for an old hide and think it is worth it, go ahead and pay 3 grand....not my problem. My problem is that people value stuff more than the life of others. Happy 4th.

I know there just tv show's, but if you watch Pawn star's and some of the other show's they don't give anything close to what there worth. Ive seen several show's when they didn't even make the seller an offer because they said they can't get rid of it.

Cool man...Hey maybe I should call Hertz rent a car...the president and tell him how friendly the clerks were...They did try to help...Maybe he is an avid hunter...maybe there will be a Bear Market this year...do you know how many hits this post would get....Insurance with a bear instead of a duck....AFLAC>>>>line up your ducks in a row...will contact corporate office on advertising and see if they will allow this...ey...insured with a bear instead of a duck...quack quack bunch of quacks out there....but a grizz is tough...cannot wait to see...will get back. Or maybe we can all get together...will keep people informed....

Yeppers, getting back...just looked up corporate offices for Hertz...not out of California...so sent them a quick e-mail to marketing. Looked up corporate offices with you-tube, of course out of California, might not let me because of the Bear...now you tell me about bears...are not all bear movies filmed out of California? Anyways....going to try to film something with the help of Hertz.....I know a bit about filming and getting adequate permissions...I do not think I need you-tubes help...California and the bear thing...so lets keep this post a going Thanks everybody.....AND then again I have never seen a real live bear in a commercial or parts of one, dreamland, California...heres an ad for Charmin toilet paper or do they do use fake polar bears for Coca-Cola...here is a bear ad http://amym1010.hubpages.com/hub/The-Charmin-Toilet-Paper-Commercials-With-Bears-If-A-Bear-Goes-In-Woods... So is that why Geico uses lizards or monkeys or apes and that is why Aflac uses a duck? What is the difference...we are all animals and so are they...I am not in this to profit I just want to help for the sake of all animals. People profit off of ducks, lizards, apes...what about a real live bear? All animals have a life and a meaning. I do not stomp on lizards, and I am not an AFLAC duck.....bears are not friendly, neither are wolves, so what are we teaching our children, that a bear can wipe his....with Charmin tissue paper? Insure ourselves against harm...teach and respect about wildlife, do not tell me or my kids that a bear can wipe his....with Charmin toilet paper, they rub against trees.....
