January of 2013, a special committee was formed to establish a new system of nominating and selecting appropriate recipients of the prestigious NTA Pioneer Awards. The committee is made up of the following people; Ms. Ruthie Haynes Carter, Mr. Larry Blomquist, Mr. Richard Christoforo, Mr. George Roof, and yours truly.

This year several names were submitted and based upon similar reasons and achievements, two Pioneer Awards were justified to be given. Therefore one Pioneer Award was presented to Mr. Harry Paulson and one to NTA Past President Ralph Garland together with his wife Sandy.

The NTA wholeheartedly congratulates Harry, Ralph & Sandy for their long time effort, leadership and contributions they have collectively given to one and all.

Please watch for other notices of the recipients of the President's Award, Pearl Henderson Award, Al Holmes Director of the Year Award and much more historical milestones as the award banquet quickly approaches.
