Thought I'd start this thread again this year after our recent trip to Colorado. Post photos of hunts weather you harvested an animal or not. We went 5 for 6 this year in Colorado DIY public. Shot my bull opening day. Spent the rest helpin my buddys and dad. Got my dad on a good 6x6 Monday but he missed due to some panicing of not getting him to stop and rushing the shot once he did in a tight spot. Found the nice 5x5 my buddy hit Monday, Tuesday morning by searching, after jumping him once and losing blood on monday. Managed to save 80% of the meat by getting him cut up before the guys came with packs. He got his first mule deer also, a small 3x3. Put my other buddy on a dandy velvet mulie Thursday morning. Spot and stalk on film at 45 yards. Just under 180" gross. Was his first western hunt. Got his first elk (the small 4x4) and mule deer. Was a great trip. Had a blast again this year. This was my 11th year in 13 to Colorado. Now SD early Oct for archery mulies and WT opens in WI Saturday!! Good luck everyone! Shot mine at 61 yards. He went 30 yards stopped and did a back flip down the hill. Not sure how he managed to land like this.
