    Hi Guys,

It has been a long while since I have posted anything. The day job and a big remodeling project has limited my time in the shop. I hope everyone is doing well and having fun getting this years competition pieces together.

This is a native stream brown from western NY (skin mount) I did for a client. I love these wild stream trout, they have such beautiful large broad fins, sleek lines and the color is unmatched. This fish exhibited a very rare trait I have only seen a couple times in a brown, which is the fully spotted tail which I'm sure many of you would question as this goes against our typical signatures for brown's.

A lot of the paint work I did on this was based on Rick's skin mount Brown video, thanks again Rick for producing such a great series of videos that really gets us thinking outside the box. I also did the habitat work with Rick at his shop a couple weeks ago. I struggle with composition and design as well as the creative attachment points. While I had some ideas in my head, Rick really helped me nail my vision in an artistic presentation. My client caught the brown on a salted minnow, so I wanted to display it as the catch actually occurred.

    Hope you guys enjoy.
