We all start somewhere or want to improve our skill level to enjoy even more so the love of fish taxidermy! I want to share a few more workshops and the great folks who took their time to learn molding and casting, painting, custom body carving and more importantly that they can do it! Learning is never a destination but a great journey filled with successes and challenges but always first with new experiences that allows all of us to become better at what we love to do!

It is with my great pleaser that I share a few moments of each workshop from the beginning half of 2017. I’m so glad I got the photo things figured out! I sure hope you enjoy the works of these motivated and hardworking folks!

Like to start with Mr. Jim Fritz of St. Louis Mo. Jim spent time with us learning fish and visiting New England! What a great time we had with Jim and sure enjoyed sharing our home and New England with Jim!

I had the opportunity to spend 5 days with Rick and Kathy August 2017. It was a great time and I was able to cut years off my learning curve in 5 days. We completed a Skin mount hen Brook Trout and everything that goes with that. Rick thought me about fish anatomy, molding and casting the head, and fins. We also carved bodies, painted and set eyes, as well as mounting the skin. I was completely new to fish taxidermy and I was able to go home and do this on my own. I competed for the first time with a fish this spring entered in the Professional division. I was suppressed to win a blue ribbon, along with Judges choice best in category, and the Polytranspar award.
The one on one atmosphere with Rick is as good as it can get. Rick sends you home with lots of pictures and study sheets from your workshop and will not move to the next step until you understand the last one. I will defiantly take another class from rick in the future!

Congratulations Lance! Way to go! It is a blast to be able to take information and make it work for you and create your own systems of success! That is where I believe we work hard at sharing systems of teaching so that you can take the information and run with it!
Congratulation to you and continue to work harder as you dive deeper in to reference and trying new techniques!
