preserving small trees or branches

  1. Anyone out there have success with using glycerine and water mixed with dye? Does anyone know where you can buy glycerine in bulk form? I used to use a product called "Never say die" but cant find any info about it.

    If you can locate someone that makes bio diesel you could get it pretty reasonable. The byproduct of making bio diesel out of vegetable oil is glycerin .

    Here is an excellent article from the Kansas State University Extension Service:


    VanDykes sells glycerine. You will not need a large amount. A pint will get you well on your way. Please post some pictures when you have preserved a few specimens!
