    I live in Butler Co. My father killed a good 10 pt. I have seen some small buck activity. Despite all the hype Butler Co. gets, it is some tough hunting. There is quite a bit of hunting pressure (especially in the past few years) so daytime activity can get suppressed pretty quickly come the firearm season. I have lived here my whole life, and have hunted every area of the county. Some are definitely better than others. The numbers are definitely down (although our numbers were never that high anyway). There is alot of woodland in the county so it can make patterning a buck tough. What part of the county are you hunting in? I might be able to help you.
