This was a cool project.......Desert Tortoise

    Probably never get another chance at one of these big suckers. He was a pet for over 40 years before he expired and the owners were able to get a salvage permit for him from the USFW to have him mounted. I would have to say a Tortoise is probably 10 x harder than a Turtle since they don't have a Plastron on the bottom to remove but instead these suckers have a solid shell all around with 5 holes...LOL....also you cannot invert there legs because its solid armor platting on them.... took me all day just to skin it out....CRAZY animal...oh well enjoy

    it came out looking great! love the base except for the wood on the bottom.....
