Oh... That turkey ... I wish to have one like that done :).
Rob, thanks for sharing with us. Really good job on big-holed one. After fixing a problem like that we feel great satisfaction.

I've got some badly shot species and this caper was one of the nasties of them. Big shothole in the exit wound and other wing shot off... I replaced other wing and after some sewing got it together somehow...

Wow, berdstuffer, beautiful coloration of the drake. We hybrids do not occur (except grouse). JP, I wonder how you get lucky for those materials :D and still manage to out of it to do something.
here is freshly made, not ready to stand, but the bird is ready

JP - they say the best taxidermists are problem solvers and your save on that Caper proves it. Beautiful Mount!

Your pictures also reminded me about trying out a new" Before and After " thread in 2014. :)

Good evening guys and girls. One more day and more than one bird ;)

Walnut Hollow, thanks from all of us. That was sooo cute.

Rustax, love your snipe. They are fun to shoot and fun to mount.

Here's one that's not coming out so well. It was road killed, freezer burnt and pin feathers. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

My contribution for the week- this one was a challenge because I didn't have a clue what I was doing plus it was a salted skin...I mostly just made it up as I went along...got a critique later...gentleman familiar with the species said it overall sucked. I'm really hoping someone posts a Puffin.
