Fish Rehydration Question

I have been scouring the archives on rehydrating previously mounted fish. In them, some people have used Parson's Sudsy Ammonia mixed with water and soak the mounted fish in it and had good results. Others have used a borax and water solution and had good results. I am leaning towards the ammonia/water mixture.

My question is - If I cannot find the specific brand - Parson's Sudsy Ammonia at a store around here (and I can't), would REGULAR ammonia mixed with water work just as well to rehydrate a skin mount? I know it sounds like a dumb question but I am really new to fish. Thanks - Mark

I have done a couple. All I did was get a towel fairly wet and wrapped the fish in. Put in plastic bag and put in fridge for about 24 hours. Worked great. If its on a foam mannikin its going to float anyway unless you weight it down.
