Mounting a small skull?

I read through Michael P. 's post about mounting.

I just don't think that mounting a small skull needs all that work at the end (the paste, spray paint etc.)

I am trying to mount a mink skull (top half only) on a base that I will stain. )This is more for personal decoration use)

Any tips on how to mount a small skull?

Any help is much appreciated! I learn something new everyday from you guys!

A skull that small could be mounted to a base with a small amount of clear silicone placed where the bone touches the base material. A mink skull is rather small to even try and put a screw into it and it doesn't have enough weight to make it fall off the base once lightly glued.
